What this tool does
Leafscope is a TLS certificate inspection tool. When you enter a hostname, it opens a connection to that server on port 443, reads the TLS certificate the server presents, and displays the certificate details to you. No data is stored, no accounts are created, and no ongoing monitoring occurs.
Information we collect
When you use Leafscope, the following information is processed:
- Hostname you enter. This is sent to the inspection backend to open a TLS connection. The hostname is used only for the single inspection you requested and is not stored or logged.
- Certificate data. The certificate returned by the server you specified is displayed to you in your browser. It is not stored on any server.
- Standard web request data. Your browser's IP address, user-agent string, and the page you requested are visible to the hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) for the purpose of delivering the page. This is standard for any website.
No accounts or cookies
Leafscope does not require you to create an account. It does not use cookies, tracking scripts, or any form of persistent identifier. No data about your usage is stored between sessions.
No data sharing
Leafscope does not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties. The certificate data retrieved for your inspection is delivered directly to your browser and is not retained by the service.
Data retention
Leafscope does not store inspection results. Each inspection is a single request-response cycle with no persistence on the server side. The hostname you check is used only for that request and is not logged.
Third-party services
This site uses Google Fonts for typography. Your browser may load font files from Google's servers when you visit the page. Google's privacy policy applies to that data transfer. No other third-party services are used.
Changes to this policy
If the data practices of this tool change, this policy will be updated. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
