Service description
Leafscope is a TLS certificate inspection tool. It allows you to enter a hostname and receive information about the TLS certificate that server presents on port 443. The tool performs one inspection per request. It does not provide ongoing monitoring, alerts, or data storage.
Billing
Free plan
The Free plan is provided at no charge. No payment information is required to use it, and no billing relationship exists between you and the operator.
Pro plan subscription
The Pro plan is a monthly subscription at $12 per month. It is currently under development and not yet available for purchase. When it launches, subscription billing will be handled through a third-party payment processor (Stripe). Each billing period begins on the date you subscribe and renews monthly until cancelled.
Payment processing — not yet connected
No payment processor is connected to this service today. The checkout form on the pricing page is a demonstration only. No real payments are accepted, processed, or stored. The operator will connect a payment processor and update these terms before the Pro plan can be purchased.
Failed payments
When a payment processor is connected and billing begins, a failed payment will trigger up to three automatic retry attempts over five days. If all retries fail, access to paid features will be suspended until payment succeeds. Your subscription remains active during the retry period. You can update your payment method at any time after a failure.
Refund policy
No refund policy is established because no payments are currently accepted. A refund policy will be published before any payment is taken and will be linked from this page.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Leafscope only for lawful purposes and only to inspect hostnames you own or have authorisation to inspect. You may not use the tool to:
- Scan or probe networks or servers without authorisation
- Attempt to circumvent any security measure of any host
- Submit hostnames in a way that constitutes a denial-of-service attack
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
No accounts or stored data
Leafscope does not require you to create an account. It does not store inspection results, hostnames, or any personal data. Each inspection is a single request-response cycle with no server-side persistence.
Intellectual property
The Leafscope name, logo, and website content are provided as part of the service. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the service or its branding without permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
Leafscope is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. The operator makes no guarantees that the service will be available, accurate, or uninterrupted. The certificate information displayed is based on what the target server presented on the wire at the time of the request. The operator is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
The operator reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law
No governing law or jurisdiction is specified until a legal entity is registered for this service. The operator must supply the entity's jurisdiction before these terms are legally binding.
